11for they rhad rebelled against the words of God,
and sspurned the counsel of the Most High.

and he delivered them from their distress.
14He brought them out of vdarkness and the shadow of death,
and wburst their bonds apart.
15 xLet them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
16For he yshatters the doors of bronze
and cuts in two the bars of iron.
17 Some were zfools through their sinful ways,
and because of their iniquities suffered affliction;
18 aathey loathed any kind of food,
and they abdrew near to acthe gates of death.

his wondrous works in the deep.
25For he amcommanded and anraised the stormy wind,
which lifted up the waves of the sea.
26They mounted up to heaven; they went down to the depths;

27they reeled and apstaggered like drunken men
and aqwere at their witsend.

33 He ayturns rivers into a desert,
springs of water into thirsty ground,
34 aza fruitful land into a salty waste,
